Gabbro is a one-woman owned and operated business with origins on the shores of The Great Lakes.

I grew up in that region and always loved the driftwood, the lake-tumbled glass, the stones and the smell of a woodshop.

Along with my love of nature I have a 25yr design background and can’t help but bring those sensibilities to jewelry design, art, and fine woodworking. Creating with my hands again — choosing particular slices of wood or stone based on their characteristics, designing, creating and finishing them — it’s a great joy. And no two pieces are ever identical. There’s something so satisfying and artful about that, to not mass produce, to take my time. People get something unique that had a lot of care put into the making.

That matters to me.
